A New Era

10  11 Albums that changed my life (or at least how I perceive music):

Over the past few years my friends and I have delved deep into the music blogosphere and proverbial (and literal) record crates. We’ve found some great albums, legendary albums, and completely shitty albums. However, no matter how much new music I find I still find myself coming back to one of the above albums. It’s almost as if I’ve developed some sort of pseudo-emotional/symbiotic relationship with all of them for countless reasons. They’ve changed me in some sort of way or another (all for the better). Some of these you’ve probably heard of, others you may not. However, I highly encourage all music enthusiasts to do what I have just done and share the albums that you have become emotionally attached to, and have changed you in some sort of way.

Another album I was unable to put into the photoset: My Bloody Valentine — Loveless (1991)

My Bloody Valentine -- Loveless (1991)

This might be one the greatest days of my life thus far! Daft Punk is of the formative groups that I listened to as a kid and I can say that this album changed both my life and how I view music.

It’s gonna be an all-out 90s French house-music party in my apartment for the next 48 hours with this album spinning on the record player.

5. Get a car? Hopefully by the end of the summer.

Exam week, I can feel it getting closer and closer. The first string of exams didn’t turn out so well for me, but I know I can do A WHOLE LOT better than the first time around. With tons of hard work and some elbow grease I can ace all of my exams and effectively wreck the curve and class averages in all of my courses. Problem fellow engineering students?

Yup, it’s THAT time of the semester again…

For all of you that read my page and see some of the music from my favorite artists that I post from time to time, I haven’t actually put much thought into what my favorite albums are. While I may be a hardcore nerd, I am also a HUGE audiophile. So while I still have time to do so, I think I should share what my favorite albums are currently (in no particular order):

I’m currently contemplating writing a album review for every album and EP on this list. One every other week, but I’m not sure yet. To my followers, I have a question for you: what are your favorite albums and EPs?
